Surface Imaging Symposium: SHIFT from Discipline Specific to Transdisciplinary
Surface Imaging is a new emerging discipline that allows designers to develop imagery for various physical forms using the latest digital printing technologies. Surface Imaging explores direct imaging on diverse porous and non-porous substrates as well as fabrication printing–including material deposition and subtraction printing technologies.
The Master of Science in Surface Imaging Program at Philadelphia University will host Surface Imaging Symposium with a selection of speakers from the Surface Imaging and Digital Printing industry. Guest include: - Andrew Graham, Chief Innovation Officer, DesignTex. - James Gill, Account Director, FujiFilm Dimatix - Ian Goldberg + Stephen Bashore, Chairs of SEGD Philadelphia Chapter, Society of Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD)
A networking reception and tour of the Center for Excellence in Surface Imaging will follow.
Our sponsors include: FUJIFILM DIMATIX and FUJIFILM IMAGING COLORANTS (Network Reception), Mimaki USA (Technology), C.H. Briggs Hardware (Material support), and SEGD Philadelphia Chapter.
