Society of Design Conference presented by Go Welsh

Thursday October 15th: 9:00AM - 5:00PM
Ticket Price: $125 - $250

A one-day, multidisciplinary design event featuring leading creatives who shape culture around the world. Inspiring, motivating, and spellbinding presentations that will very likely SHIFT the way you think about design.

Nine speakers will take the stage in the Harrison Auditorium on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania to share compelling and thought-provoking case studies from a wide range of design disciplines. Four of the featured speakers are visiting from Europe which helps to make the day’s presentations even more of a unique opportunity.

Nick Asbury (England) has been described by Creative Review magazine as ‘the designer’s writer,’ Annie Atkins (Ireland) has designed graphics for two Oscar-nominated films, the animated feature The Boxtrolls and Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel (Academy Award for Best Production Design), and Oskar Zieta’s (Poland) efforts in industrial design are permanently exhibited, among others, in Centre Pompidou in Paris.

The featured speakers from the U.S. include lettering superstars Spencer Charles and Kelly Thorn, internationally-awarded architect Craig Dykers from Snøhetta, interaction and media designer John Ryan from Local Projects, and multi-talented Alisa Wolfson, Head of Design at Leo Burnett, Chicago. A lineup to rival any of the world’s best design conferences. This is the can’t-miss design event of the year in Philadelphia.
